Food that burns on the outside and stays uncooked on the inside is being cooked at too high of a temperature. Crank your temperature down. It will take a little longer to cook but at least it will cook evenly.

Also, a pizza stone is a good investment. They really help and they aren't expensive. If you eat pizza a lot, I would recommend getting one.

Additionally, don't buy the cheap brand pizzas. Anything under $4 for a full size pizza is usually pretty gross.

Get one of those infrared heat wave ovens! They'll blow your mind!

Cook it for a minute or two less than the box states and turn the pizza 180 degrees halfway through the back.

If it has burnt edges and a raw center, it means you are cooking it at too high of a temperature. Turn the temperature down about a hundred degrees and put it in a little bit longer, occasionally checking it. It can be a good idea also to crack open the oven, that way you can get used to what it smells like when it's almost done.

This may be more trouble and expense than you care for, but if you get a really substantial surface to place it on in the oven, such as a 1/2" - 1" thick real stone slab, it will cook evenly. This requires preheating the oven well, naturally. The best pizza restaurants cook their pies on stone slabs.

I always put it directly on the oven rack. I also let it thaw out for longer than the box says. That seems do make it cook more evenly for me.

Try a different brand of pizza.
Your oven sounds like it isn't so good.
If your oven is quite small and the edge of the pizza is near the side walls of the oven the edge will burn b4 the rest is done because the oven is naturally hotter near the walls.
Get a pizza oven or get delivery.

Pizza stone.

when 1/2 of the pizza is done, turn the pizza around & when the second hafe is done take thepizza out.make sue the pzzais brown and hot before eating or pt it less in the oven.

If you really love pizza (like I do) invest in a Pizza Pizzaz! It is the best thing available. You can put a frozen pizza on it for 20 minutes and it tastes great. It is even better when you buy a frozen pizza crust and add your own toppings! Good Luck!
