Best and favourite marinade for a tender STEAK ??!

Question: My dad came up with this sauce we called "sop". To make it get a small saucepan and melt the following ingredients together
2-3 tablespoons of butter
1/4 cup of Worchestire sauce
diced garlic (to your taste)...we add about 2 tablespoons
1 large lemon juiced....fresh squeezed is the best...I think
and then whatever spices you like
We usually add a little fajita seasoning, onion powder and pepper. I really doesn't need salt because of the butter and worchestire sauce.
Then when the "sop" is melted down you can marinade with it or use as a sauce on top after the Steak is cooked.
The lemon juice really gets the steak tender. The acidity breaks down the toughness in the meat. Lime juice will do the same thing it is just a less flavorful in my opionion.

garlic powder and salt

If its a nice piece of meat you don't want to marinate it , less is more. Salt and pepper.
For tougher cuts of meat, like London broil, is more of a marinating meat. Because you want to break down the meat to make it tender.
When I do marinate, I use, soy sauce, olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, balsamic vinegar, chopped garlic, salt and pepper.

Zesty Southwestern Marinade
1/4 cup olive oil
3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
2 teaspoons ground cumin
2 large cloves garlic, minced
3/4 teaspoon dried oregano leaves, crushed

Combine all ingredients in small bowl.
Makes about 1/3 cup.

This is Delish...marinated sizzle steak. Hope you like it!

1/4 c worcestershire
1/4 c red wine vinegar
1/4 c dijon mustard
2 TBS Olive Oil
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
2 lb boneless sirloin or top round steak (1 1/2 " thick)

Combine all but steak in large baggie and mix well. Marinade in refrigerator @ 30 min. Grill or broil steak @8 min per side for med-rare. Let steak stand 5 min. before slicing.

Beer and teriyaki are my favorites.

TERIYAKI STEAK MARINADE

1/2 c. orange juice
1/4 c. soy sauce
2 lg. garlic cloves, pressed
1/2 tsp. ginger powder
1 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. oil (preferably olive)

Combine ingredients and use for steak marinade or a beef kabob marinade. Marinate at least overnight. Marinating 2 to 3 days helps tenderize some cuts of beef. Barbecue to desired doneness.

or try this

BEER MARINATED STEAK

1 lg. onion, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1 c. beer
1/2 c. lemon juice
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
Sirloin steak

Cook onion and garlic in 1/4 cup oil until tender. Remove from heat. Add remaining ingredients except meat. Place meat in shallow baking dish, pour marinade over. Cover, refrigerate 6 hours or overnight, turning occasionally. Grill, basting with marinade.

Now this may sound weird but pickle juice or even better lime juice can solve you problem. also LOW AND SLOW is KEY!!!!!!!!!! Don't forget your salt and you will be in business.

cold, strong coffee and a little red wine...1/4 cup each..salt and pepper...let sit for a few hours. Yummy

None.
Just a little BBQ sauce at the end of grilling.

Oriental Grilled London Broil Steak

2 pounds London Broil steaks, about 3/4 inch thick

Marinade:
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
2 tablespoons sesame seeds
2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
1 tablespoon chopped fresh ginger
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper

Combine all marinade ingredients in mixing bowl and whisk together. Place the London Broil steaks and the marinade in resealable plastic bag; turn steaks to coat. Close bag securely and marinate in refrigerator 1 hour. Preheat grill to medium heat. Remove steaks from marinade; discard marinade and place the steaks on the preheated grill grid. Grill, uncovered, 6 to 8 minutes for medium rare to medium doneness, turning occasionally. Remove streaks from grill and carve steaks across the grain into thin slices to serve. 4 servings.

beer. Just pour a beer on it and let it sit for 1/2 hour plus - also steak should be room temperature before cooking
