How long after the original meal do you keep leftovers with the intention to serve them?!

Usually no more than five days if everything looks and smells fine.

I use the 3 day rule.

I stop serving anything that's been in the fridge more than 3 days. Less if it's something particularly perishable.

we serve food at an assisted living place for 5 days after originally made that is the state law thing

Within 2-3 days.

Some things I freeze for later in the month. Others we eat within three days.
