Frying food?!

Question: Everyday when i make my self dinner i usually fry up some sort of meat and serve it with steamed rice. I fry nearly all my food weather it be making ommlette in the morning or stirfry etc. Iv been told this is a very unhealthy way of cooking yet i cant understand why? If you just add some sunflower oil and fry some meat and vegetables then why is that considered unhealthy? This is not reffering to the way they deep fry foods in fast food restaraunts and reuse the oil.

In case you get this far down, here's some tips. And I promise not to give you a cheese ball recipe:

When you're frying the meat in the oil, not only the oil you put in the pan is absorbed by the meat, but the fat from the meat has no place to go and stays with it, too.

Grilling meat doesn't require extra oil, and the fat from the meat can drip away. It's a much healthier way to cook meat.

Try a grill pan that has raised ridges to hold the meat out of the grease. They make them for stovetops. Or get an electric grill like a George Foreman. They have those ridges and are slanted so the grease runs away from the meat and you don't need to add any grease or oil.

Frying vegetables adds fat to them, too. Try steaming them. They taste a lot better and are much more healthy.

even though you are using sunflower oil still it is oil
it is really unhealthy if you will eat fried foods all the time
but then fried foods have more minerals than boiled ones

I read an article that eating raw food is healthier than cooked food. Because when you cook food, the bacteria dies but the nutrient also dies. And they say if you always eat fry food, your cholesterol level would go up and that's really unhealthy. :D

Enjoy!

Thanks to B's book you may never see this one, but this is what I have been told. To much fried food is not good because it is thought by some to be a carcinogen. In other words "cancer causing"

Well it's pure fat and that's a lot of calories and not heart healthy. But if you are just stir frying and sauteeing things just switch to an extra virgin olive oil. It is considered a "good" fat. It will raise your "good" cholesterol, your "good" cholesterol flushes out the "bad" cholesterol.
