Would you know which country eats the most garlic per head of population?!
Answers: My husband and I are garlic fanatics and we think nothing of putting in three bulbs for a meal for two. (I do mean bulbs and not cloves).
Korea or Spain
Article below
"What Country Has The Highest Consumption of Garlic?
I always thought it was Korea. But just came across an article that suggests the country with highest consumption of garlic is Spain.
I suspect that the article in question is only looking at Mediterranean countries. Koreans eat a LOT of garlic. A recent Bloomberg article by Andy Mukherjee suggests per capita consumption of garlic in Korea is 10 kilos (22 pounds) a year.
That's in comparison to the US, where over the last 20 years per capita consumption has risen from less than a pound to about 2.5 pounds. Gourmet and heirloom varieties of hardneck garlic are reportedly generating a lot of interest among foodies."

i WOULD GUESS AT ITALY
Me tooo. I love the smell of garlic frying a golden brown and I even take it out of the frying pan whilst its still cooking. We go through so much garflic in our house that our house ought to be called "The garlic eaters" Food tastes awful without garlic and green chillies. :) At a guess I would say Italy or India?????????????
I'd say Italy even though it's a stab in the dark and don't even know why i said that. Just thinking of pizza and pasta lol
I'd guess at France.
Italy or Korea....
they say the french like tons of garlic but it's probably an asian country. I like it but not that much.
I agree with Hambone.
I love garlic too!
I chop a little off the top of the bulb. drizzle some olive oil on it, wrap it in tin-foil, and stick it in the oven for 45 minutes. When it's roasted, I spread it on crusty french bread like it's butter!
Whenever I make mashed potatoes I take a few cloves of roasted garlic out of the bulb and drop it in the potatoes right before I whip them.
It's ALWAYS a pizza topping.
My boyfriend and I eat it so much that we can't even smell it on each other - we are so used to it. But when we go out after we eat our friends always get blown over by our dragon breath!
i would say India
