How do you separate the egg whites from the egg yolks?!

Question: You will need an egg and two bowls. Take an egg lightly crack it by tapping it on the side of the counter on its long side. Put one bowl under the egg that you have just split. You will be moving the contents slowly from one part of the egg shell to the other egg shell as you allow the egg white to drop into the bowl below. If you do this too quickly or roughly you will break the egg yolk.

You can buy a little plastic scoop thing with slits on the side (not sure what it's called), you just crack an egg and pour the whole thing in and it separates it for you. Any kitchen supply store should sell them.

They make a special spoon that will hold the yolk and let the egg white pass through. If you don't want to spend the money on the special spoon you could try using a slotted spoon.

Either way, do it over a separate bowl. If the yolk breaks, you won't be able to separate it from the egg whites.

There are egg seperators that you can purchase in a kitchen store. But I usually use my hands to seperate them. I wash and rinse my hands very well and then crack the egg into the palm of my hand and then roll the egg up onto my cupped fingers and let the white seep through. You also need to roll it back and forth between your two hands. I have also used the halved egg shell, but if you aren't careful, you can pop the yolk and that makes a mess.

you buy a seperator

food is good!!
