What should I make for dinner using hamburger meat and red potatoes?!

You could season the hamburger with onions, worchestershire sauce, salt/pepper and garlic salt. Put in the bottom of a baking dish. Put a layer of Boiled, chopped cabbage over the top, and cover the cabbage with sliced boiled potatoes. Top with cheese and bake. You can also add a layer of canned kidney beans (on top of meat) if you have any.

* 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
* 1 onion, chopped
* 1 pound lean ground beef
* 1 teaspoon dried basil
* 1 clove garlic, minced
* 1 cup green beans
* 1 cup tomatoes, diced
* 2 potatoes, cooked and mashed
* 1 egg, beaten
* 1/2 cup water
* 1/4 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (optional)
DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat oven to 350 degree F (175 degree C). Coat a 2 quart casserole dish with cooking spray.
2. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook onion in oil for 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Stir in the ground beef and basil, and cook and stir for 5 more minutes. Mix in the garlic, green beans, and tomatoes, and simmer for 5 minutes. Transfer beef mixture to prepared dish.
3. In a mixing bowl, mix together the mashed potatoes, egg, and water. Spread evenly over meat mixture.
4. Bake in a preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until potatoes start to brown on top. Sprinkle with cheese, and continue cooking for 5 minutes.
Leave the skins on the potatoes... do a larger dice on them and boil them. While you are boiling them, in a skillet, melt one stick of butter, add some scallions, some parmeson cheese, and about 4 garlic gloves (pressed). Once the potatoes are soft and drained, toss them in this mixture.

Layered Ground Beef Casserole
2 1/2 lbs potatoes, peeled
8-12 ounces sour cream
salt & pepper
2 lbs ground beef
1 medium sweet red pepper, chopped
1/2 cup chopped onions
1 (15 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained
1 (10 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon garlic salt
2 tablespoons butter, melted
minced fresh parsley (optional)
Put the potatoes in a large pot, cover with water, and cook over medium-high heat until soft.
While potatoes are cooking; in a skillet, cook beef, red pepper, and onion until meat is browned and vegetables are tender; drain.
Add corn, soup, milk, and garlic salt.
Mix well.
Once the potatoes are soft, drain and mash with sour cream.
Add salt and pepper.
Spread meat mixture into a baking dish.
Top with mashed potatoes.
Drizzle with butter.
Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
For additional browning, place under broiler for a couple of minutes.
Sprinkle with parsley.

Beef Stroganoff
? cup of melted butter
1 lb of stroganoff meat (steak sliced into strips)
1 can of beef broth
? can of water
Brown the meat in ? cup of butter. Add the beef broth and ? can of water
Cook over low heat. Check for liquid content level (you don’t want all the liquid to evaporate) Cook for 30-45 minutes. Then take the meat out and set aside.
Make a paste with
? cup flour
? cup water
Add the paste to the beef broth. Stir to taste with salt and pepper. (I never add salt and just a little sprinkle of pepper) Cook 5-10 minutes or until thicken (like gravy)
Add
1 cup sour cream
the meat
? cup of mushrooms (only if you want)
Continue cooking for 10 more minutes
Serve with Minute Rice or Noodles but rice is better

Step 1: Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Step 2: Crumble and brown hamburger meat, drain off extra fat. Cool slightly.
Step 3: In a large bowl, stir together the mayonnaise, milk, cornstarch, salt and eggs.
Step 4: Spray quiche pan with cooking spray.
Step 5: Evenly spread out the crumbled hamburger on the bottom of the quiche pan.
Step 6: Sprinkle the cheddar cheese evenly over the hamburger.
Step 7: Pour the egg and milk mixture evenly over everything.
Step 8: Bake for 35-40 minutes until the hamburger quiche is golden brown and set in the center.

Cafeteria Chili Mac
1&1/2 C. elbow macaroni, cooked and drained
1 lb. gr. beef
1 small diced onion
1 small diced green pepper
3 cans tomatoes with liquid
1 T chili powder
1 tsp. crushed oregano
salt, pepper, garlic powder to taste
Cook macaroni and set aside
Combine remaining ingredients and simmer 30-40 minutes. Add drained macaroni. Mix thoroughly. Serve with grated cheddar cheese.
Use 9x13 pan. Break up ground meat into small pieces layer meat, potatoes, slice like chips, and lots of onions. Top it all off with chunk tomatoes. Bake 350 until the top is brown.
