Can someone give me an awsome recipe for pizza dough and the amount of time it needs in the oven at what temp?!


Question: I make this one all the time, my lads won't let me buy pre-made or frozen pizzas anymore. You can make up the base, prove it and then freeze it if you wish.
Pizza Dough Recipe:
18 oz strong white flour.
1 sachet fast action dried bread yeast. (7 gm)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tsp salt
1/2 pint warm milk

Sieve flour and salt into bowl
Add dried yeast and mix together
add olive oil and enough milk to bind without it being over-wet. Mix to form a dough which incorporates all the flour.
Turn out onto a floured board and knead for about 5 Min's by hand (or until elastic consistency is reached).
Place in an oiled bowl and turn dough so it is covered lightly in the oil, place bowl in a plastic bag and put in a warm place to prove until doubled in bulk (about an hour).
When risen, turn out onto a floured board and punch down.
Tear off required amount and form into a round, roll out and then 'flap' between floured hands until required size is obtained.
Set aside for a few Min's, then put your favourite tomato sauce recipe on top, add cheese (Cheddar and mozzarella mix) then put your favourite toppings on.
Place in a very hot oven (230 degrees C or 450 degrees F)
cook for about 8 to 10 Min's.
Voila !

oven temp 425 degrees time 20 to 25 minutes scan ahead a few hours look for pizza duh. answers are there.
