Cookie stains on cookie sheet(s)?!

Question: I have cookie sheets that I use for pizza and cookies. I recently baked halloween cookies from the store with those cool pumpkin shapes. It left ugly stains on my cookie sheets. I want to remove them. Any thing around the house that will clean it off? I scrubbed it and scrubbed it for fifteen mins 4 times already!

Next time, use parchment paper on the cookie sheet ... it's sold at most groceries and at WalMart where the cookie cutters and such are. Your cookies won't stick, even if you use the cheapest cookie sheet there is and the bottoms don't burn at all ... clean up is a breeze ... just throw away the parchment paper.

try some vinegar.. Maybe also a brillo pad.

Comet i know that comet is for tubs but use it then reclean it dish washing liquid!

I had a similar situation and then after getting so tired of scrubbing I sprayed 409 Multipurpose Cleaner and it came off like it was nothing.

Try using detergent and very hot water and let stand a couple of hrs. If this doesn't let stand in a little water and Clorox, rind well afterwords.

Most cookie sheets are soft metal and even if it doesn't show very pourous. The impression is made by the oils and other preservatives they use in making the dough. (Read the package to find outwhat all is not natural). They will fade with time as it bakes out.

you may have soom luck with a spray on oven cleaner or frypan cleaner. I normally ignore it .

Using parchment paper can help but does change the way the cookies bake slightly.

make a paste out of baking soda, clean the area with a soft cloth. you also may try bleach. be sure to wash well after .
