When did you last make Jelly?!

Question: Im making strawberry Jelly tonight.

Answers: Im making strawberry Jelly tonight.

Jelly - in the USA jelly is a preserve without seeds or bits of fruit

Jello - in the USA Jello is a proprietary brand of that which is known as jelly in England

I make preserves every summer from fruit grown in my back yard (garden) and from fruit growing on the island where I live. I have an apricot tree and a fig tree in the back yard. I get pears, peaches, apples, scuppernong grapes, and turkey figs from neighbors. I also make chutney and various relishes from veggies grown on the island. I used to grow tomatoes and cucumbers but then it dawned on me that I was paying about 15 dollars a pound for them because of the water bills. Now I use veggies grown by neighbors who have wells and, therefore, don't have to pay for the water.

Now, I don't wish to bore you all to death, but I do want to comment on the conviviality of this site - Food and Drink. I used to visit other sites but grew so tired of all the vitriol posted about various subjects. It seems to me that people get along a lot better, and learn about each other in this more peaceable forum.

Cheers!

i made it yesterday

Not for a while. But remember - do not put pineapple in it - it will not set!!!
