I bake a lot of cakes but lately my buttericing has become a nightmare to work with, is there a better butter?!

Question: I used Stork all the time and never had a problem till lately. I kept it in the fridge until i covered the cake (which was cool), even tried cooling the room down by opening the window... Have they changed their ingredients for Stork, or is it just me?
Is there a better cheap brand out there?

Use President or Lurpak butter it should help and it will be a lot healthier too.

check the salt content.. they may have changed the recipe and that sounds like a salt problem

you could try making it thicker by increasing the amount of icing sugar and decreasing the amount of butter, it will be alot sweeter but atleast it will set properly

Try salt less butter
