I'm about to make muffins and have run out of cocoa powder. Do you think that melted cooking choc will be okay!

Question: Melted unsweetened chocolate will work fine BUT you will need to reduce the fat/oil content in your recipie by the amount of chocolate that you use.

One cookbook I have says you can substitute 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder, plus 1 tablespoon of butter or margarine. So it should work the other way around, too.

Hope this helps.

it will make the whole mix too liquidy and they may not bake properly, if you want to use the melted choc use a few tablespoons, add somethin different to your muffins instead of the choc like a spice maybbb....

sure or you can break the chocolate i9n very very very little pieces

Dont see why you couldnt use melted choc. Might have to add a bit more flour to thicken the mix up a bit. Good luck!

Definitely. They will be even better!

tryy hot chocolate powder or chocolate milkshake powder..

if you have some :D hehe

Don't see why not. I would be inclined to add extra flour to make up for the cocoa powder then add some grated chocolate. You can drizzle some melted chocolate on the top when they're cooked.
