Does Rice Need To Be prepared before being put in the slow cooker?!
Most rice should be rinsed and checked for chaff, sand, etc., before being cooked. You can then put it into the slow cooker, remembering that the rice will soak up a lot of the liquid.
Answers: Cook? No--it would turn to mush by the time the food is done. You can parboil it to add to a quick-cook recipe, but with a slow-cooker recipe, you add it uncooked.

I usually give it rinse before I cook mine in a rice cooker. it supposedly removes some of the starch and dirt from the rice.
We rinse ours before we cook it. That's all. Just make sure there's plenty of liquid in the slow cooker.
rinse it off well with water until the water runs clean
Your recipe will say cooked rice if you need cooked rice.
No. You just add the ingredients in when you put it in the slow cooker . Add some chicken and cream of mushroom sauce that taste really good....Just make sure you rinse the rise off first.
no,but it takes a bit longer,if u want it to go faster use boiled water with the rice.
Quick rinse is all that`s needed.
No. It cooks with the rest of the food you put in with it.
my mom soaks it 4 a bit then lets all the dirty water come out and then cook it

it should be washed
no you do not have to cook rice first just put it in your slow cooker
Please rinse rice, even if package said not needed.
Rinse until clear. Use the cup that came with the rice cooker. If mixing with brown rice, add slightly more water. Should you find that mixture of brown rice with white rice is under cooked, wait 10 minutes and re-cook. (give the spring timer time to reset) (It may need additional water) Timed it this time by yourself, and pull plug when done.
NO JUST MAKE SURE YOU HAVE AN EQUAL AMOUNT OF LIQUID IN THE SLOW COOKER
No it doesnt but be careful of the measurments so it doesnt swell up and swallow the dish...
