Does anyone know where to buy those cooking rings to make the eggs in Egg McMuffins?!

Question: Many years ago when I used to work at McDonalds, we used to have these cooking rings that you'd break an egg into and fry the egg in the ring so that the egg wouldn't escape and that's how they make the round egg for Egg McMuffins.

Does anyone know where to purchase cooking rings like that?

Reasonably priced, I've ordered from this company before with excellent service and delivery.

More to choose from:

in your local supermarket!

Make your own. Any small can will work, simply cut out the top and bottom with a can opener

You can use the ring portion (band) of the lid that comes from a canning jar. That's what I've used for such. See here as an example of what I'm referring to http://www.goodmans.net/get_item_kj-0008...
These can easily be found on-line, at Wal-mart, Big Lots, your local grocery store, etc.

You can buy professional pastry rings at restaurant supply stores that will do the job or any round cookie cutter will work, too. But a tuna can with the top and bottom cut out will do the same job for a 1/4 of the price and it comes with tuna!

They would be found in kitchen stores that sell gadgets. You also can use a tuna can or something similar by just removing both ends and washing well. But you'd have to find ones that aren't stackable. The canning jar rings is a good idea. I would spray either with cooking spray to prevent sticking tho.

another good solution is to cut a ring of red or green pepper and crack the egg in that.

Bed Bath and Beyond sometimes has gadgetty kitchen things like that. I just use a large biscuit cutter (but make sure you lift it up with a fork or a potholder so you don't get burned!

I liked the suggestion to use a ring of bell pepper! Smart thinking....

try collections.com i got mine with a griddle @14.99 plus shipping
