That is actually a good question. If you use regular table salt or a course salt will make a difference. Try course salt such as kosher or sea salt. A pinch between thumb and first finger and middle finger is about an eighth of a teaspoon.

pinch it with your thumb and index finger.......sheesh

1/8 Tea Spoon = 1 Pinch

just pinch with your fingers! it's that simple.

Take some salt in between your thumb and index finger grab some salt . that is a pinch just as you would pinch someone.

Just like it says, a pinch. Although I have seen measuring spoons that have pinch and smidgen.

JUST-ABOUT ,
BUT
NOT AS-MUCH !!
HEE-HEEEE !!

There is no exact answer. It is the amount of salt that you think is enough, sprinkled on what ever you are doing.

It is the same as a knob of butter.

I actually have a measuring spoon for a pinch! It came along with the normal teaspoons and tablespoons!

But if it calls for a pinch I doubt it is anything that has to be exact... Just put a small pinch in.

thumb index finger.
