I just made homemade pumpkin pie, can I leave it sit overnight or do I have to put it in the refrigerator?!

Question: Can I let it sit out overnight if I cover it or do I have to put it in the fridge?

I am assuming that you made the pie with eggs and condensed milk, and seeing as a pumpkin pie is a custard pie to some extent, it should most definitely be refrigerated once it has cooled to around room temperature until you serve it.

put in in the fridge

anything that contains a dairy product should be in the fridge

you can leave it out safely if you are using it up in the next day or so, however if you plan to keep it around then refridge can extend the "shelf life"

leave it r

If it's still hot or warm you can't refrigerated yet.. leave it out tonight and put it in the refrigerator in the morning..I did the same thing a few nights ago....

fridge it

it has to go in the fridge
