fry the chicken first then add a little brown sugar to the b.que sauce very good
Don't boil the chicken...it gets rubbery...yuk!
Soak chicken parts in salt water for 10 minutes. Rinse well. Spice with pepper, garlic, onion powder, basil, and parsley. cover. Bake in a baking dish for 30 minutes at 400 degrees. Brush on BBQ sauce and continue baking uncovered for 10 minutes or until the BBQ sauce starts to crisp.
What i do, is i bake the chicken in a glass pan at 325, under foil, for about 30 minutes. Than i remove the foil, spoon on the BBQ sauce and bake for another 20 to 30. And when the juices run clear... broil it for about 5 to 10 minutes to get that "off the grill" crunch.
Start with raw seasoned chicken, bake chicken pieces till they dry out a little first and the sauce won't all just slide off. I just season chicken like I would to cook it on the pit. And I use my fav BBQ sauce. No reason to make this a hard dish.
