Bake Sale help?!
I need ideas and recipes! I'm just tired of baking the same old stuff. Any help will be appreciated! I have a box of brownie mix and a lemon cake mix in the pantry. What can I make with these that would be easy to wrap and wont take much time time make?
Answers: I was volunteered to bake for a bake sale this Saturday.

The above listed brownie ideas are great, but why not make cookies from the lemon cake mix?
Lemon Coolers
Original recipe yield: 3 dozen
* 1 (18.25 ounce) package lemon cake mix
* 1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
* 1 egg
* 2 cups confectioners' sugar
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2. Mix together cake mix, whipped topping and egg. Drop by teaspoonfuls into bowl of confectioners' sugar and coat. Shape into balls.
3. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Do not brown
Make the brownies and add peanut butter, chocolate chips, nuts, m&ms, or put frosting with sprinkles on top. Bake the lemon cake mix as cupcakes with frosting (that way it's easier to sell by the cupcake)
*******SPICE CAKE IN A JAR
2/3 c. shortening
2 2/3 c. sugar
2 c. applesauce
2/3 c. water
4 eggs
2/3 c. nuts (optional)
3 1/3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. baking soda
Cream shortening and sugar; add applesauce, water and eggs; mix well. Mix dry ingredients in another bowl and add to first mixture. Add nuts (or raisins) if desired. Spray wide mouth pint jars with Pam and fill about 1/2 full. This will fill 6 to 8 jars. Bake at 325 degrees exactly 45 minutes. Remove jars one at a time and quickly screw the lid on each jar. Let set until ready to eat. When you use canning jar lids this cake has a shelf life of a year. A great gift idea!
How about baking the brownies in a mini-muffin pan and putting a Hershey's Kiss in the middle of each one?
instead of worrying about what to bake, dress it up. like the first person who responded, add it or top the brownies off with different things. but then have fun in how you display them. get colorful plastic wrap or colorful cupcake wrappers. stickers, glittler, just have fun with it. good old fashion qatmeal cookies, peanut butter cookies, or even sugar cookies are always a hit. you could decorate the sugar cookies to whatever the cause is for. school colors? if its for girl scouts, get cookie cutters girlie themed. go through the kitchen and see what ya got or go hit up a dollar store for cheap ideas.
