Chocolate brownie collapse?!
Answers: Why did my Chocolate brownie collapse half way through baking? It was looking so good and then it just collapsed. Was it cause I opened up the oven door?
A lot of brownie recipes do that. They get all puffed up...and then they collapse. But a true brownie is moist and dense, so it would not be fluffy like cake, anyway. My guess is, you did nothing wrong. Take a look at it after the whole thing cools. I would assume the entire brownie will look collapsed. That's what brownies do.

Could be. Some recipes do this anyway, regardless of when you open the door. The recipe you used might just be one of those.
Yes it could be because you opened the door. What kind of recipe did you use? Was it from scratch or box? Most brownies do puff up then they come down when they are done.. How did they come out?
