Are the tomatos in a tin of chopped tomatos ordinary toms or plum toms?!

Question: I've just looked in the cupboard and on the back of the chopped - the picture is of ordinary ones, on the plum of plum ones.

Both tins are of the same brand (Napolina).

Plum toms tend to be richer and henceforth taste nicer whole and alone. Chopped are better as an ingredient.

usually plum

Normally they are plum tom's

PLUM !!!!!!!!!

Normally plum tomatoes.

Depends what is says on the tin.. not always plum toms though

Tend to be plum as they have more taste

yes they are plum tomatoes, very juicy!!

It does what it says on the tin.

Check where it says Ingredients, it will say Plum Tomatoes

If it doesn't say plum it could be either or both.

plum tomatoes,,, there the bad ones with the bad bits cut off

From the wording you used in your question it sounds like your European. I don't know what type of tomatoes are caned in Europe, but in the US it's mostly Roma tomatoes. The really expensive, and much better than Roma is the San Marzano tomato. Both tomatoes are plum type tomatoes, but the San Marzano looks like a Roma on steroids. On the average the San Marzano is two to three times as large as the Roma, and a flavor that is much better (hence the high price) than the Roma.

both kinds are available read the label

I just checked my can of Unico diced tomatoes. The ingredients indicate vine ripened tomatoes. The picture on the can look like plum tomatoes. I love them and use them alot in my cooking.

they are usually plum tomatoes. roma tomatoes. never "garden" tomatoes. don't know why though.

They are plum
