I'm looking for a quick and easy, kid friendly dessert! Have you got one your kids enjoy?!

Question: Ice cream sundaes are always a hit at our house. I start with vanilla ice cream, and have a variety of toppings, including hot fudge, sprinkles, chopped nuts, and cool whip or whipped cream in the can. just scoop into a bowl, ask each kid for their preferred, and they can dig in! Sometimes I have bananas too, since some like them and some don't. There usually isn't much leftover so clean up is easy too!!

EVERYBODY loves my Peanut Butter & Jelly French Toast! Make a PB&J, dip in egg wash and cook.... Top with syrup or chocolate sauce or marshmellow cream or nothing at all!

I find cupcakes, chocolate cream pie and ice cream are always safe bets.

Pudding parfaits (with whipped cream and crushed graham crackers).

Apple crisp and ice cream.

This is my families favorite and it's not as fattening as it tastes, enjoy!

Hot Fudge Pudding Cake

During the baking a cake layer forms on top and a rich chocolate sauce appears on bottom. Serve with vanilla ice cream or whip cream.

Dirt, a Kid Friendly, Tested Dessert

1/4 cup butter
1- 8 ounce package cream cheese, softened
3-1/2 cups milk
two 3-1/2 ounce packages French or regular instant vanilla pudding
1-12 ounce container whipped topping, thawed
1-20 ounce package chocolate sandwich cookies, crushed
gummy worms
8-inch plastic flower pot (never used for plants)
garden trowel (never used in gardening)
aluminum foil

The night or day before serving, cream butter and cream cheese. In another bowl, mix milk, pudding and whipped topping. Combine the mixtures.
Put a small piece of foil over the bottom of the flower pot to cover the holes.

Put one third of the cookie crumbs in the flower pot. Next add one half of the filling mixture. Finish the layers with crumbs, filling and top with crumbs. Refrigerate overnight.
Before serving add gummy worms to top of dessert. Use the trowel as the serving utensil.

My kids (fruit-lovers) love this: take 1 pkg. (4-serving size)instant vanilla, lemon or pistachio pudding mix and mix with one 20-ounce can crushed pineapple (including juice). Allow to sit for 3 to 5 minutes. Fold in one 8-ounce tub of cool whip. Chill and serve with cookies (vanilla wafers are our favorite!).

Dirt Cake!!!
I actually remember it from when i was in elementary school. super easy of course!

dirt= one package of oreo cookies
mud= chocolate pudding + whip cream
gummy worms

take two sleeves of oreos and put them in a large plastic bag let the kids go to town on crushing them with their hands and if you trust them with a rolling pin or heavy pot go for it. then do the same for the other half of oreos.

take the chocolate pudding and make it as the directions say then fold in whip cream. let the kids help the whole way it is great fun.

assemble: one bag of crushed oreo in the bottom of a glass bowl then put the chocolate pudding to make a layer of mud. Now sprinkle about half the gummy worms. layer with the next bag of crushed oreos and the rest of the gummy worms.

Major hit with every kid i've ever given it to.
also do vanilla pudding and vanilla wafers as well as swedish fish or gummy bears for "a summer at the beach"
good luck

I don't have any kids, but I have a roommate that has the taste of a child. Last night I made these cup cakes made from Duncan Hines Devil's food cake with mini chocolate chips added to the mix (I usually don't use a mix but it was just easier and quick if you need something fast). Then I made a basic butter cream and frosted them. Crushed up some Oreos and put some gummie bears on top. He loved them. But for other idea's I suggest Food Network.

Something healthy that I always liked as a kid was vanilla yogurt with Mandarin orange slices mixed in, though of course it can vary with what your kids like.

For the just taste good category, how about dirt cups? Chocolate pudding topped with crushed oreos with gummi worms poking out. Those are great with younger kids, especially boys.

Yes! I've got a super duper easy one. Its a frozen recipe, but you don't have to freeze it all the way and kids love it either way.
Grab yourself some vanilla flavored yogurt, some strawberry jam, raspberries, strawberries, banana too if you like, chop them up some.
If you have those popsicle maker plastic things its better, but use some type of plastic tupperware type of container or even a childs plastic cup. put a small layer of the jam, then fill about 1/2 of the way with the yogurt. add some of the fruit then mix it up into the yogurt some in a swirl fashion just so they get in there. then finish with another layer of the jam followed by some more yogurt. when you stick a popsicle stick in, I've found that they work best when they have holes in them.I'm assuming its because the yogurt goes in there and freezes making it stronger when you pull it out so that you don't end up with a stick in your hand. Twist as you pull them out, and also try running the plastic under some warmer water as you do this to help remove them after you freeze it.

Southern Banana pudding. It's fast easy and kids usually love it. You will find a good recipe on a vanilla wafer box.

This is a simple and healthy desert option for little ones.

-a flat or individual strawberry baskets
-mix 2 tbl spoons of brown sugar, with one 16 oz container of sour cream

And then dip away! I have noticed that kids like to keep the strawberries whole, nice and big.

You may also like to add another tbl spoon of brown sugar, depending on your preference. Another option is to substitute dark brown sugar, its a bit healthier

I do a smoothie; it's quick and very nutritious and always welcome:

Using a blender, blend the following:

1/2 c yogurt (any kind)
1/2 c white juice (like apple, white grape, etc)
1/2 c frozen fruit (like strawberries, blueberries, peaches)
1/4 c ice

Enjoy!

Rainbow jiggles:

My kids (now in their late 30 still enjoy this silly desert)

3 boxes Jello different colors. Large cake pan.

Make one box of Jello use less than 1/2 the water called for.
After well dissolve add 2 ice cubes and stir until melted.

Pour into large cake pan and refrigerate.

Make second box of jello less than 1/2 the water called for
When firsts layer of jello is set gently pour the cooled second layer over the first. and refrigerate.

Repeat with the last box.

Faster and funner for little kids.

3 boxes Jello same color. Prepare all three boxes together... Be sure to use only 1/2 the water called for.

Pour in cake plate. When set, give the kids cookie cutters to cut out their own shape.

If you want a stiffer jiggle with less sugar more protein ... add a pack of softened Knox gelatin and 1/2 cup more water.
