You will need:
- a bamboo rolling mat [cover it with cling-wrap]
- sheets of nori [pressed seaweed]
- short grain sushi rice
- wasabi [Japanese horseradish - powdered or paste]
- rice vinegar
- sugar
- fillings [cucumber, avo, cream cheese, spring onions, etc.]
- fresh fish [tuna, salmon and butterfish I find to be the nicest, make sure its very fresh]
Any Asian foodshop or speciality shop should have all the ingredients you need.
Check on internet for specific way to place and roll your sushi sheets. Its actually quite easy.

For the typical sushi (seaweed on the outside rolled into a roll) you need seaweed, whatever filling you like (avocado, chicken etc.) and sticky grain rice. If you can't find sticky Japanese rice, I know someone that used to mix mayonnaise with rice.

You may also need a bamboo mat to roll the sushi up.

Check the web for how to's and recipes.

its all in the shops look and you will find

I suggest you visit your local library and look for a cookbook about Sushi/Sashimi or Japanese food.

I also recommend you start with dishes than need the least amount of specialized equipment and have simple techniques to make them, things like nori rolls need a bit of a knack, difficult to achieve when nobody is there to help.
