Newbie to the cooking world need help with a cooking plan.?!

Question: Well, lets put it this way I got a short time to learn cook while I still stay at home. I would like to be able to go somewhere online or offline where I can develop a healthy eating plan for me based on my own personal dietary needs(calorie vs proteins..etc) as well as some meals I can learn to cook. I tried frozen tv dinners and I get tired really fast of them.

See if you can get your hands on "Len Deighton's Action Cook Book"

It's exactly what you want.

Frozen dinners is NOT COOKING! Watch Martha Stewart, Rachel Ray, and all those chefs on The Food Network. Search Google! It's hard to cook for just one, how dedicated are you?

Try this site:
http://www.recipezaar.com
It has 100,000's of recipes and you can search by meal, ingredient, keyword (like "Chili" or "Spaghetti")# of steps, experience needed, special needs (low-cal, diabetic..) A lot of the recipes also have reviews from other users. You don't need to be a member to search either.
Good luck to you, I have found some great ones!

The Food Network has some great recipes. I find the Rachael Rays 30 minute meals are delicious and so easy to make. Its great for starters as well as experienced cooks.

Buy simple cookbooks look through them make sure that there is plenty that you would like to try and make, also make sure the ingredients and preperations dont scare you. I buy a cookbook about 2 times a year just to get more ideas.
basic cooking:
meatloaf
pasta
baked chicken
potatoes
salad
hamburger
roast
all of these are easy and filling and easy to make cooks.com is a great resource for simple cooking ideas. some recipies only contain a few ingredients. One roast I saw once was just roast and a large bottle of mild salsa. put in a crock pot for 7-8 hours. the crockpot is the non-cooks friend. You don't need a lot of experience to cook good even great food.
