I need puree veggie ideas :o) what are some other veggies i could sneak in food?!

Question: i've been steaming and pureeing veggies and adding them to the starch portion of our meals (ex: summer squash and carrots in mac n cheese). but i can't think of any veggies out side of summer squash, carrots and tomatoes. can you please give me some ideas of other veggies that are low on flavor that i can steam, puree, and sneak into our dinner? (i'm trying to get hubby to get his daily requirement of veggies, this is the best way i can do this... one of those 'wife tricks') ;o) thanks everyone!

Why dont you try try zuchinnis or brocoli in a pasta dish?
He might think that the brocoli is parsley.

peas and green beans are not very pungent as well as Zuccinni and can be pureed into mashed potatoes . What about making stews ? Or do you just have to hide every veggie altogether? If that is the case , you can put cauliflower into garlic mashed potatoes or perogies . you could use sweet potatoes as well which are very high in antioxidents.
Good luck...I am glad my hubby will eat any thing I serve except lima beans!

Sometimes I sneak eggplant into meatballs along with breadcrumbs. You steam the eggplant and mash them up into your meat mixture and form, they come out great.

broccoli in mashed potatoes, caulifower in mashed potatoes, spaghetti squash as spaghetti. gl.

Jerry Seinfeld's wife just came out with a cookbook for her kids to sneak veggies in their meals. Would probably work great on an unsuspecting husband too. Here's the link to the Amazon Listing:

Funny you should ask, there are two whole brand new cookbooks out on the market about this, one is written by Jerry Seinfeld's wife, the other by some other woman (and now they are pickering who had the idea first...) The books are: Sneaky Chef: Simple Strategies In Hiding Healthy Food In Kid's Favorite Meals, by Missy Chase Lapine. And Jessica Seinfeld's Deceptively Delicious: Simple Secrets To Get Your Kid's Eating Good Food. Should also work for huspands... lol.

I made a meatloaf with broccoli cauliflower zucchini and squash add tomato paste and you have two servings of vegetables make it with turkey burger its healthy

When you make cookies or cake or practically any dessert that calls for oil, use pureed pumpkin in place, ounce for ounce. It tastes very mild and is really good for you and there isn't any difference in texture, either!! Maybe pureed sweet potatoes in his oatmeal? umm . . . green beans chopped really little in rice. . . you can say that it's like chives or something like that. but make sure you put chives in it as well so that he can taste them. . . That's all I can think of, hope this helps!! ^_^
