They say a 1/4 # per person is average...then there are some for leftovers...

I would get seven to eight pounds of turkey breast. That would average about a half pound per person. That should be a safe amount. You could make up a little extra as most people love some left overs. If you do, then it wouldn't hurt to make ten to twelve pounds of roast turkey. You could always freeze some extra to add to Christmas dishes too. I like to make an extra turkey breast and freeze it right away to have for a cold Christmas salad I make each year. This saves a lot of time later.

Get one 20 lb turkey and call it a day. That will be plenty.

Two turkey breasts should be good, just remember to buy organic. Some places give antibiotics to their turkeys as well as hormones.

It all depends on how much the turkey breast weighs really... 2, 1lb. Turkey breast really won't feed much... You need to be thinking, is every one real big turkey eaters, do you want left overs (turkey sandwiches, turkey soup, turkey salad, hot turkey sandwiches, etc.) Most people will eat a whole (average sized) chicken breast for a meal granted turkey breast are usualy bigger say = to 2 chicken breasts so I would say 8-10 maybe even more depending on the size/weight of the breast you are getting and if you want left overs or not :)
