The Hard Rock Cafe's Potato bacon soup is hard to beat. It has a bit of a kick though. French onion is good too. Mom used to make a mean French onion soup.

Don't make me choose!! I love minestrone, cheddar broccoli, cream of chicken and wild rice (from panera) and home made chicken noodle. Mmmmmmmmm.

My favorite is butternut squash soup.

Peanut, so yummy, but so odd.

My own home made chicken noodle soup is my favorite. Yummy! Think I'll make it this weekend.

This is my grandma's recipe, it's awesome!

Split Pea, Ham, & Sausage Soup

12 oz dried split peas
2 -14 oz cans beef broth
16 oz polish or kielbasa sausage, cut in bite size pieces
1 cup chopped ham
1 cup chopped carrots
1 onion, chopped
1 bay leaf
salt and pepper, to taste

Put peas, broth, ham, carrots, onion, bay leaf and seasonings in crock-pot.
Brown sausage in skillet and add to crock-pot. Fill to 2” from top with water, cover, and cook on low for 10 hours or high for 5 hours. Remove lid for last hour to thicken or add cornstarch mixed with cold water to soup. Remove bay leaf. Serve with cornbread and honey butter.

My all time favorite soup I have only eaten once and will never eat again it is

Boula Boula.

I had it when I had almost paid enough "dues" to call myself chef. I was second in command for a Cha?ne des R?tisseurs dinner.

I tried everything but if I had known what Boula Boula was I probably would have tried it then.

It is a 1:2 mixture of turtle soup and split pea. I have a thing for not eating 100 year old creatures that are becoming endangered. I also live in Hawaii where the Honu Honu is a revered animal.

SO I would say Split pea... even if it isn't cool enough to have a fire in the fireplace.

Every season is soup season to me!!! As the good book says" I've told you once, I've told you twice, all seasons of the year are nice, for sipping chicken soup with rice"!! However I don't have a favorite- I have yet to meet a soup I didn't like

loaded baked potato

I absolutely love Butternut squash and roasted carrot soup. Pure vegetables - no oil or dairy. I roast the carrots and butternut squash then use a hand blender / emulsifier with some water or vegetable stock, salt, pepper, heat and WOW. I also enjoy chicken vegetable soup - fresh from scratch. Always a great picker upper. Add some cream for a hearty seasonal variation.

tomato basil is my favorite
minestrone
chicken & dumpling soup

I'm partial to French onion with Gruyere, vegetable, and beef barley.

spanish bean soup and it is awesomely good .

Italian wedding soup, and potato
