Question: I put 3 pork tenderloins in a crock pot and fill it with Coke. I am wondering if this is right or should i just use a little. And how long should I cook it?

A lot depends on what size your crock pot is and whether it has variable temperatures. Overcrowding can affect the cooking process.

Ideally, you should remove the silver skin from the tenderloins if it is still on them as it is a bit rubbery. I always season and brown them first in a heavy duty saute' pan, on all sides as that enhances the flavor.

Pork is so mildly flavored, the Coke may overwhelm it, but regardless of what liquid you use, I would recommend that you put the loins in the pot with approximately 2-3 cups of fluid to begin with, turn heat on high, put top on and leave for one hour.

Check the liquid level and add more if necessary.

After the first hour, change temp setting to automatic or medium and let cook with the top on for about 2 hours. Pork loins don't take long to cook but you will need to rearrange them in the crock pot at least once during the cooking time because of where the heating element is located in the crock pot.

Take out and let them rest under foil for a few minutes while you make other dinner preparations. Then slice and serve.

**I notice other answerers have listed longer cooking times, which is fine if you want to cook the loins on low--but you could end up with mushy meat as there isn't that much connective tissue in tenderloins. That is why they are called tenderloins and they should be treated gently.

You are so totally dumb ruining good tenderloin that way.

Beer would be better choice of liquid in there.

use only half cup to cup. 6 to 8 hours on low 4 on high . you can't over cook.

It will be fine and wonderful. I would cook it on low for 8-9 hours. I do mine the same way. It is so tender and juicy.

You're no Chef. Marinate and eat raw, YUM Sushi.

Pork tenderloin is an expensive cut and is tender as it is. Why would you cook it in a crock pot. I'd make the pulled pork with a cheaper cut cuz it will come out just as tender. And honestly I don't think coke is the liquid to use. Beer would be better but even that sounds awful to me with pork. I think I'd go for a bit of beef oxo and water and maybe put some sliced onion in, too.
