How do you make the perfect egg mayo?!


Question: We went to a party last week and the egg mayo was lovely - so we tried to make some today and it didnt taste nearly half as good. Whats the secret?

Sorry to sound dumb - but its one of those things we have never thought of eating before because it sounds yuk! lol

have you tried making it with salad cream instead of mayo, thats how i make it and its great!

x. use fresh organic eggs, good mayo with a bit of finely chopped parsley i also like a spoon full of greek yogurt in mine to make it a bit more creamier dont forget seasoning. x

probably nice eggs and good quality mayo. Oh and nice bread.

I am sorry to sound so dumb. What is egg mayo? Is that like deviled eggs?

I like eggs done with salad cream too but I also add some finely chopped onion as well Yummy!!!!! Egg mayonaise is good if you use a good quality mayo such as Hellmans

Ingredients (serves 4)

4 eggs
4 tablespoons of mayonnaise
Lettuce or watercress for garnish or padding.

Method

Boil the eggs in a pan which is big enough for the eggs to fit and small enough that they won't rattle around and break. Typically eggs require 7 to 9 minutes to become hard boiled. If you plan to serve on individual side plates, lay a bed of greenery, place a spoonful of mayonnaise in the middle and finish the job by halving the egg and placing the cut sides down on the mayonnaise.
