Is it ok to freeze cooked beans?!

Question: I put them in ziplock bags and freeze them all the time so they are ready to use for surprise guests at lunch.

I thaw in the microwave and bring to a boil in a kettle. You may have to add more water as necessary as dried beans use more of it than green beans.

Yes, for about 3-6 months tops.

Yes. For a month or so. No longer.

not if you plan on eating them after. If you want to preserve cooked food, put in the fridge, and not for more than a couple days.

Yes indeed. Cooked beans are included in many commercial frozen dinners.

ya but they will taste bad unless you slow cook them when ur gonna eat them again, and i mean slow cook

Yep, I make my fav bean soup and freeze it. Tastes as good 1 month later

u can, but i would not recomend so. if you do so, only for a week or so. i mean its fine if u put it longer, but i dont think it will be very tasty that way

Yes. Not a problem. just make sure they are cool first.

Yes, but it's not necessary. They'll remain edible for at least a few days if kept tightly covered in the fridge; simply reheat to serve.
