OK Bubbles, here is a girth widening way to do it. And if those slacks didn't make your thighs look fat, this will.
Put six or seven pieces of bacon in a skillet and cook it until crisply done. Keep the bacon grease in the pan, and make sure it is warm to a point where it is almost hot then gently place spoon fulls of the potatoes into the hot bacon grease.
After several minutes, flip them over only once and cook the other side for a minute or two. They should look like thick potatoe pancakes.
Place on a plate and cover with some shredded cheddar cheese and bacon crumbles.
Don't forget the napkins.
Cheers.
put alittle oil in a frying pan! let it heat up, put in the potatoes once browned turn over and cook on the other side! put it on a plate, put some tomatos sauce on it and there you go a tasty quick snack!
make them into croquettes. make balls of the stuff with bits of ham and cheese inside and then deep fry it until it develops a crust.
yum!
mix with
grated cheese
tuna
finely diced chili and or garlic
A little oil in a pan and fry on both sides. Add other cooked veg to make bubble and squeak.
mix the mashed potatoes with boiled cabbage and fry it in a pan with a little veg oil
i always use leftover mashed potatoes, they always work best, idk why. lol. get a handful and make it into a patty...coat it in a lil flour. put a lil butter and oil into a pan and fry til the one sides crispy then turn and repeat. dont turn too soon or it will break. a GREAT snack or dinner for yourself. good luck!
MASHED POTATO PANCAKES
2 c. cold mashed potatoes
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. flour for dredging
Salt & pepper to taste
1 sm. onion (optional)
Mix the potatoes, onion and egg together and form into 4 fat patties or 6 lean patties. Heat the butter in a skillet, dredge the patties in flour and saute until golden on one side. Flip and cook until the other side is golden brown, making sure the pancakes are heated thoroughly and the onion is soft.
MASHED POTATO PANCAKES
1 egg, well beaten
2 c. cold mashed potatoes
1 tbsp. minced onion
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. minced parsley
3 tbsp. shortening, butter
bread crumbs
Blend the egg with the potatoes, then add the onion, salt and parsley.
Coat in the bread crumbs on both sides.
Drop by spoon into a frying pan containing sizzling hot fat. Brown each croquette or patty on one side, turn and brown the other side.
hope these help. enjoy.
Finley cut up an onion, mix it in with your mash and make into little round "cakes" (about 1cm thick, 5cm diameter). Put a little oil in your pan, fry the cakes for a few minuets on each side, until they are golden and crispy on the outside, but fluffy in the middle.
If you want 'easy', you could form pancakes out of them and fry them... then have them with breakfast.... like with eggs... make sure they're crispy like home-fries...
:)
