Potatoes, please help/advice?!


Question: I want to make those potatoes where you slice them thin and cook them in the oven or in a skillet then add cheese but I dont really know how, please help with any tips, advice or recipes.

Try these.

Go to Kraft food.com and click on potatoes, it will show you different ways of cooking it.

peel the potatoes, slice then, put on stove with little oil, cook (flip often) for about 15 minutes and then add cheese in a bowl or plate

What I do is make a roux then add sliced thin potatoes to it

SCALLOPED POTATOES:
Thinly slice potatoes & onions, about 3 to 1 ratio.
Build up alternate layers in pyrex or ceramic oven-ware.
Mix a can of mushroom or celery soup with a can of water.
Pour over filled dish, add enough milk to cover potatoes.
Grate cheddar cheese over top, cover & bake @ 350F.
Test potatoes are tender after 30 minutes or more.
Remove cover for last 10 minutes to brown cheese.
