I am a former chef and heard alot of my English mate talk about a "Chip Butte" not since I was a child and my gran from Liverpool made me one, had not thought of it in years, when in both Manchester and Liverpool I sought out places, I found 2 canteens that made them one on a roll the other on just white bread, the best thing I ever had, your combo sounds interesting.

I also can go for the Aussie favorite, Vegemite on toast with cheese, that is an acquired taste like the UK marmite, it is not everyone's cup of tea or cocoa.
