If I cook meatballs and don't use them all in one meal, can they be frozen once they've been cooked?!
Answers: Absolutely! Freeze (I like to freeze them on a cookie sheet, then package them after frozen, then you can take them out individually without clumps) and defrost in the fridge or directly in sauce if you're using them for spaghetti.
certianly! Remove as much air as possible, or freeze in sauce.
yes. I would remove them from the sauce and freeze them individually
Yes! make sure they cool down first you can pit them in freezer bags or a air tight container
Assuming that they are homemade meatballs, that have not been cooked prior to this use, you can freeze them. If you are using the pre-made ones that you buy at the store, they've already been frozen and defrosted, and should not be saved.
Yes. In a sealed container, and for less than three months.
Yes. The next time you need them you'd just have to thaw them out and reheat them.
Yes, you can freeze them. To avoid freezer burn though I would suggest that you individally wrap them in plastic wrap if you plan on leaving them for more than a week. Then seal them in an airtight freezer bag.
yes. they freeze very well . i usualy make extra so i have them in the freezer for a quick meal
yea they can, just make sure you use them in a reasonable amount of time and they are fro zed to the right temperature and in a suitable container.
anything, once cooked has the capacity to be frozen
yes..do it all the time
Absolutely, but you have to be careful about it. Most importantly, you have to keep them out of the Temperature Danger Zone. That's what we call the range of temperatures between 40 degrees and 140 degrees. If the food is above 40 degrees and below 140 degrees for more than a short period of time bacteria are running rampant, so be sure to put whatever you have as leftovers in the refrigerator as soon as possible. When the time comes for you to reheat them, bring their internal temperature to 145 degrees or higher for at least ten seconds. This can be measured with a meat thermometer. I can go on forever with this, so please contact me for more information if you want it.
Oh yes & they be better than ever when you reheat them. Cooked meat keeps about 6 months in the freezer if wrapped well.
Yes! Make sure they are sealed well. Should be able to freeze them for 6 months to a year after cooking. Thaw in frig for 24 hours before reheating.
