Pancake Puffs are sticking?!
Answers: My daughter *had* to have the Pancake Puffs she saw on TV, so I bought the pan (yeah, yeah, I'm a softy). I have made 2 batches and they have both stuck to the non-stick cast-iron pan. The turning sticks basically tore through the puffs when I tried to turn them. What could I be doing wrong? Does anyone have any tips for getting them to turn out like they are supposed to?
Cooking Aebielskievers (pancake puffs) can be tricky and need practice to get them to turn out well. Dont give up. You need about 1/2 to 1 tsp. oil per pancake cup. You also need to be gentle but fast with your sticks. If the heat is to low they will stick, if it is to high they will cook on the outside and leave the centers gooey and raw. It should take about 45 seconds to1 minute before you flip them over.
The first time I made them I went through about 5 or 6 batches before I got them down. Now I make them all the time and have 2 pans going at once because they get eaten so fast.
Maybe you should grease the pan, or grease it a little more than you normally do.
U can use a spatula to get the pancake-puffs off. :)

Try using some Pam or any other non stick spray on your pan.
Grease the pan with margarine or butter or spray after each batch it done, just like a waffle iron.
Try a good coat of cooking spray like Pam.
I have a pan just like this but made from another copany. Before i add the batter i brush it with some butter, but i'm sure you can use a nonstick spray like pam. Hope this helps
