I make my own banana chips, because I hate when my fruit goes off! Too bloody expensive for that ****.
I add them to a bowl a boiling water for about 10 minutes or leave them over night.
You can use them in all kinds of cooking, I used to put a handful in the boys pureed apples when I didn't have fresh banana's.

no...you can't reconstitute the chips...they're gonna stay hard.

make some kind of peanut butter dip! that sounds kind of good actually...

Your cooking questions always make me hungry lol.
I agree that they're bloody tough as well.
My Mother said it's pointless baking them in a recipe because it'll just make them even more harder and drier and my Father suggested sucking on them, though that doesn't make them dissolve which I told him.
It's a no win situation sorry.

Banana chips in homemade vanilla ice cream ... holy cow that's good!

put them in a ziplock and crash them into pieces.
mix them with peanut butter.

banana flavored peanut butter dip. :)
you can dip crackers or spread them on bread.

Yeah, with any recipe you have that takes bananas, you can substitute banana chips in and it will taste just fine.

Maybe if you could soak them In some hott water for a coudple hours,Before Makeing An excellent banana pudding !!..or You can make Banana Muffins ! Yum yum
Enjoy!
