I made some cookies but they came out all doughy and sticky. what did i do wrong?!

Question: could be a number of things- were the sticky all over or just in the middle? Sounds like you either didn't cook it long enough, or kept changing the temperature on your oven.

nothing at all. yuum

a bit more milk and butter would have been nice.

you proly didnt cook them long enough

and i agree they are good when they a soft :]] mmm

Well, it could be several things:
-not enough flour
-too much margarine/shortening
-didn't cook long enough
-didn't cook at proper temperature
-read ingredients wrong and put in not enough of one thing and too much of something on down the list

cook them longer

you didn't bake them long enough and/or you used to much oil or cooking spray

you didn't cook them long enough

Probably didn't coook it long enough

LET THEM COOL

more flour!

sounds like you didn't bake them long enough. try handling the dough less, turning the oven to about 325-350 and checking them after about 8 or 9 minutes, if they look wet in the middle, keep them in two or so minutes longer.

If the dough was sticky when you were putting them on the pan, you may want to double check your flour mesurements, perhaps you melted the butter when you mixed them up instead of just softening it? Don't worry, try again, I rewened a million cookie recipies... and of course if you meant they were doughy after being cooked, depending on the cookie, maybe they needed a min. more in the oven. Your oven temp may be off if you've had a problem before-
And that girl had it right, depending on the cookie (and all all kinds of cake) Mixing it too long with rewen the consistancy.

Did you preheat the oven first?
