Does anyone have any fantastic, fairly easy dinner ideas that aren't too full of carbs or salt?!

Question: I'm not a good cook at all...but am getting really tired of our normal foods....whatcha's got to spice it up some!?

I like stirfrys because they can vary so much. I use chicken, shrimp, or beef. Frozen veggies which ever are on hand. And toss in my seasonings. Sometimes I go for cayenne, garlic, and pepper, sometimes garlic and lemon pepper salt.
basically by changing the spices you can change the flavor of the same food. Also I sometimes just add something different. For example if I'm doing spaghetti again I might added a handfull of broccoli to the mix, or use chicken chunks in the sauce instead of sausage. Just keep mixing it up and take a chance.

Ceral is good and healthy, and progresso soup is low in carbs and sakt and it still tastes awesome! ?

Lemon is a great replacement for salt- so I suggest some lemon and dukkah chicken thighs, grilled with tomato and herb salad.

Salsa:
2 medium oranges, peeled and segmented
1 large avocado, peeled and pitted
2 Tablespoons fresh lime juice
? cup sliced green onions
? cup chopped cilantro or 2 Tablespoons dried cilantro
Crushed red pepper flakes, if desired
Salt, if desired

6 Alaska Pollock fillets (4 to 6 oz. each), fresh, thawed or frozen
2 Tablespoons olive, canola, peanut or grapeseed oil
1 teaspoon lemon pepper seasoning
2 Tablespoons fresh lime juice
12 thin corn tortillas (6 to 8-inch)

Prepare salsa: Cut oranges and avocados into ?-inch chunks. Combine with lime juice, onions, and cilantro in bowl. Add pepper flakes and salt to taste; set aside.

Prepare Whitefish: Rinse any ice glaze from frozen Alaska Pollock fillets under cold water; pat dry with paper towel. Heat a heavy nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Brush both sides of fillets with oil. Place fillets in heated skillet and cook, uncovered, about 3 minutes, until browned. Shake pan occasionally to keep fish from sticking.

Turn fillets over; cover pan tightly and reduce heat to medium. Cook an additional 2 to 5 minutes. Cook just until fish is opaque throughout.

Season with lemon pepper. Sprinkle fillets with lime juice; break into small chunks. Spoon whitefish chunks and approximately 2/3 cup salsa onto a double layer of tortillas. Fold over to serve.

eggs are a good protein source and you can add most any leftover to scrambled eggs. Most any veggie can be chopped or grated into eggs- onions, spinach, aspargus....
top with cheese and for a side you can do roast potato wedges, sliced tomotoes or sauteed zucchini...yummy.
