Does anybody know any good dog treat recipes?!
Answers: I would like to make dog cookies and cupcakes with dog safe frosting. If you have links to good websites or recipes or books. Please tell me!
LIVER TREATS
All you need are beef livers. Try your local meat packers; they often throw them away. Or you can buy fresh liver from the supermarket.
Cut the liver into approximately 1 inch slices. Place in your food dehydrator for 24 hours*. Use Pam or the equivalent on the drying racks, so the liver won't stick. Let dry for 24 hours. *Or you could place them on a cookie sheet and bake in a 325 degree oven for about 45 minutes to help dry them out.

Check out Rachel Ray's Magazine "everyday with Rachael Ray" She alwasy does a section on pooch friendly yum-yums!!!!
do dogs have a preferance? they eat there poop. I understand you dont care about my opinion and if you really want to make your pooch a snack then try this. Buy those big bones, spread a REALLY thin layer of peanut butter on it. put dry dog food in a bag and grind it into graines. Sprinkle the food on the bone. Now cut up carrots into thin strips and dip them into wet dog food and put it on the bone. Now put it in the freezer and take it out the next day. Then put it in the microwave for a minute. Its nice a gooey. I have 3 curious kids who wanted to play chef and make our dog a birthday treat. So we went to the local store and picked out things that dogs eat. then we got home and they made him a treat. (with me of coarse). the oldest was 6 and the youngest was 21 months) The dog loved it and didnt get sick. p.s. i did this all for the kids.
