Marble cake mix recipe w/ cream cheese?!
I remember that half the yellow cake mix is reserved, while the remaining half is used to make a dough which is pressed into the bottom of a pan and baked, to form a crust. Then the remaining yellow mix is added to the cream cheese (with a few other ingredients) and that mixture is also divided in half. One half is poured over the baked crust; the chocolate mix is added to the reserved cream cheese mixture and then marbled into the pan. After that the whole thing is baked and cut into squares.
My mom used to make this y-e-a-r-s ago and has since lost the recipe. I'm hosting Thaksgiving for my family this year and would love to make this childhood favorite for everyone - if I could only find the recipe!
Does anyone know what recipe this is and where I might find it? Thanks in advance!
Answers: I'm searching for a recipe that uses a marble cake mix & cream cheese for a "marbled cheesecake bars" kind of dessert... It was listed on the back of a cake mix in the early 80's...

I couldn't find the exact recipe you're looking for, but hopefully this recipe for marbled cheesecake bars will satisfy:
INGREDIENTS
2 cups finely crushed creme-filled chocolate sandwich cookies
3 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
3 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1 (14 ounce) can EAGLE BRAND? Sweetened Condensed Milk (NOT evaporated milk)
3 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. In medium bowl, combine cookie crumbs and butter; press firmly on bottom of 13x9-inch baking pan.
2. In large bowl, beat cream cheese until fluffy. Gradually beat in EAGLE BRAND? until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well. Pour half the batter evenly over prepared crust.
3. Stir melted chocolate into remaining batter; spoon over vanilla batter. With table knife or metal spatula, gently swirl through batter to marble.
4. Bake 40 to 50 minutes or until set. Cool. Chill. Cut into bars. Store leftovers covered in refrigerator.
