I'm confused. Is pumpkin puree the stringy stuff you pull out of the pumpkin??!
Answers: No, it is the flesh of the pumpkin after it is cooked and pureed in a blender or mashed. The pulp and seeds in the center are not used for this. You can bake the pumpkin in the oven til it is soft then scrape out the flesh and puree it, or cut it up and boil it til soft then puree it. Easier to buy a can of pumpkin puree!
no puree is cooked down pumpkin flesh and blended together until smoothe.
no its cooked pumpkin that has been pureed in the food processor. The flesh, not the stringy mess
Pumpkin puree is the what is left inside after your remove all of the seeds and as you put it "stringy stuff". You must remove the outer shell and then cook the stuff that is located between the outer shell and the "stringy stuff". Once it has been cooked until it is soft, then you can either put it in a food processor to blend it or just mash it with a potaote masher. That is the puree. Or if you want you can go get a can of Libby's pumpkin (without the spices) and that is also pumpkin puree.
