What is a good but SIMPLE cookbook that has easy simple recipes?!

Question: I'm trying to find a cookbook that has lots of easy, simple, and good recipes. I'm tired of seeing recipes with a bunch of weird titles like "Best Butterball Brownies" or "Cajun Chilled Chicken." I just want a recipe that has straightforward simple recipes like basic recipes for things, like "oven roasted chicken" or "homemade brownies" none of that other mumbo-jumbo. I know sometimes the cookbook authors just make the names up but sometime the recipes are really out there too. Any ideas on a great simple cookbook?

"America's Test Kitchen" is what you need! It's a show on public television, but they have many cookbooks & really, really good simple recipes. I cook everything from scratch with their recipes, and they're so easy to follow & straightforward. It's all I use (and did I mention the food is sooo good?).

the magazine Real Simple put out a great cookbook called
Real Simple: Meals Made Easy
the recipes are simple and yummy. i cook out of this cookbook all the time. i think i bought it at Barnes and Noble
hope this helps...

For traditional easy recipes I would suggest the Betty Crocker cookbook. It has been around for many decades, so that says a bunch. I love their recipes for everything in there.
Hope this helps.

the 4 ingredients cookbook is the best! All the recipes are 4 ingredients or less!!
