If you slice or chunk them, about 20-30 minutes. If you left them whole, until you can prick them easily with a fork.

Just until they are tender. Try piercing them with a fork.

15-20 mins depends how small you cut them

I peel and cut my potatos into about quarters, then boil until they are fork tender. Fork tender means when you insert a fork into the potato, it goes in without a lot of pressure. Usually it takes about 15 to 20 minutes.
Hope this helps.

quater them before boiling
tender not mushy, you should be able to fork them.

I usually boil them for 15 minutes and then peel them and mash them with hot-hot water & milk.

It depends, the smaller you cut them, the less time you have to cook them.

There is no set time as it depends on the potato type, and how small you cut them,
Cook them until they are soft enough to mash with a fork, or until the break apart when you stick a fork in them.

If you want potatoes quickly cut them up first. By cutting them up as thinly sliced, squares or the french fry method they will cook a lot faster (potato should be as small as possible). If you leave the potato whole it wil take almost the time to heat up a bake potato.

When you can stick a knife all the way thru the potato without it hitting a hard spot...it's done
