Easy spaghetti sauce recipe...?!


Question: im making a recipe calling for homemade or canned spaghetti sauce. i wanna go all out..so i wanna make a homemade sauce. i need the recipe to be able to made within an hour or so..and no meat...THANKS!!!

2 to 3 tablespoons olive oil
2 medium onions
1 medium green pepper, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tablespoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste
2 cans (14.5 ounces each) diced or crushed tomatoes
1 teaspoon dried leaf oregano
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Heat oil; sauté onions, pepper and garlic in the oil until tender. Add salt, pepper, tomato paste, tomatoes, and oregano. Simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in cheese before serving or serve cheese separately. Serve with hot cooked and drained spaghetti or similar pasta. Serves 6 to 8. Meat version: Sauté 1/2 pound of lean ground beef with the onions, peppers and garlic until browned. Proceed with recipe.

**EASY SPAGHETTI SAUCE

1 1/2 to 2 lbs. lean ground meat
1 qt. canned tomatoes
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
Garlic salt

Brown meat and drain, then put meat in pot. Add tomatoes and tomato paste and stir. Sprinkle generously with garlic salt, or add seasonings of your choice. Cook on low for several hours and stir occasionally. This recipe can also be used to make chili beans.

**EASY SPAGHETTI SAUCE

1 lb. ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 can tomato paste
1 can tomato sauce
1 sm. can mushrooms

Fill both cans (sauce and paste) with water and add for right consistency. Simmer about 1/2 hour. Add 1 teaspoon grated cheese just before serving.
For an added treat cut about 3 Italian sausage in pieces and add to sauce. If sausage is added, simmer longer - at least 1 hour.

**EASY SPAGHETTI SAUCE

1/2 lb. ground beef or sausage
1 sm. onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 c. water
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. basil
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. oregano
Pinch of pepper

Saute meat until cooked; drain off fat. Add onion and garlic, saute 2 to 3 minutes. Stir in all remaining ingredients. Cover pan; simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Simmer, uncovered for 20 minutes. Serves 4, makes 2 cups.

Easy Red Sauce

Ingredients:

2 Tbs. olive oil
1 can (14-oz) crushed tomatoes
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1-1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning
cooked pasta
Parmesan cheese

Heat olive oil in a large skillet, then add tomatoes, sauce and Italian seasoning. Stir and heat until hot. Add pasta and mix, then transfer to a plate. Sprinkle with Parmesan.

Fill a large (3 to 4 quart) pan with diced fresh tomatoes. Boil over medium heat for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Add:

Several cloves, diced fresh garlic
Large pinch of fresh dried oregano
Large pinch of fresh dried marjoram (use less spice of commercially bought)
1/2 c. red wine
Salt and pepper to taste

2- 28 oz. cans of crushed tomatoes
1- lg. green pepper diced
2- cloves garlic minced
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp parsley
1 tsp basil
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1 bay leaf
1 tbsp sugar
salt and pepper to taste
1- 12 oz can of beer or 1 cup red cooking wine

In large sauce pan saute peppers in oil, when soft add garlic and saute for 1 to 2 minutes. Add crushed tomatoes and all the seasonings and beer/wine. [if you prefer you can use water] Simmer 1 1/2 to 2 hrs.

Note: mushrooms can be added

2 cans of crushed tomatoes (14.5-oz.)
1 can of tomato paste (6-oz.)
2 cloves garlic, diced
1 medium onion, chopped
1 medium green bell pepper, chopped
1 medium red bell pepper, chopped
1 c. broccoli, chopped into florets
2 tbsp. olive oil or vegetable oil
1 tsp. dried oregano
1 tsp. dried basil
1 tsp. cumin
1 tsp. thyme
1/2 lb. spicy Italian sausage (optional)

Heat oil over medium-high heat in a pan.
Add garlic and onion and cook until the onion is translucent (more clear than white).
Add peppers and broccoli and sauté for a few minutes.
Add crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, and spices. When mixture is bubbling, reduce heat to simmer and cover. Simmer for at least 60 minutes, stirring occasionally. The longer it simmers, the better it tastes.
