Easy carne asda fries recipe?!
Answers: I went to visit my sister last winter and had them out in San Diego. OMG!!!!! They are good how do I make them. Easy as possible please not that great of a cook
For this dish to be any easier, you'd have to buy some fries pre-cooked, or buy the carne asada pre-made from a restaurant.
Maybe carne asada can also be bought from the pre-made frozen foods section of a Sam's club in a Hispanic area. Sometimes you can find "frozen pre-cooked fajitas" in a Sam's, and those are a decent subsitute for carne asada, warmed up.
Also, some grocers sell "stir-fry beef" that is pre-sliced into 1/2" strips, but where I live they don't sell that. If they have it where you are, feel free to use it to save time!
Buy a container of sour cream, and also a container of pre-made guacamole from your grocery store, in the refrigerated dip section.
Also buy some pre-grated colby or monterey jack cheese (small ziploc bag.)
First, make the fries. To make it very easy, use Ore-Ida Extra Crispy Fries – a microwave fry that cooks up crispy in just 4 minutes. Or, you can also use frozen fries from the freezer section and bake according to package directions.
Next, make the carne asada:
INGREDIENTS:
* 1 lb flank steak or other cheap steak like chuck or round
* 4 red, green or yellow peppers, stemmed and seeded
* 1 onion, peeled
* 1 tablespoon oil
* 1/4 teaspoon salt
* 1/4 teaspoon pepper
PREPARATION:
If you didn't buy it pre-sliced, slice the steak into 1/2 inch strips, cut against the grain of the meat. Slice the peppers and onions into 1/4 inch strips.
Heat the oil in a large frying pan on high until it will make a drop of water sizzle when added to the pan. Sprinkle the meat with salt and pepper and add it to the pan. Cook the meat, stirring often, over medium high heat until the meat cooks out the juices.
Add in the peppers and onions and cover for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Uncover and continue to cook until juices have reduced, meat is cooked and peppers and onions are limp and translucent.
When the carne asada is done, put a bunch of cooked fries on a microwave safe plate, and top them with 1 cup of the carne asada. Then put a handful of grated cheese on top. Nuke the plate in the microwave for 25-30 secs until cheese melts. Remove from microwave, and top with 1-2 Tbsp guacamole and 1 Tbsp sour cream.
Enjoy! :)
Regarding the thumbs down, [wazzup wif dat?] - I know what I'm talking about with this dish. :)
I have lived in both Southern CA and South TX and worked in Mexican restaurants. My first job of my culinary career was in a Taco Cabana, which made Carne Asada as one of its dishes.
I'm not kidding- As far as I know from experience, this dish really can't be made any easier than this.
I dare the giver of the thumbs-down to come up with an easier version. :)
I might learn a time-saving culinary trick if they do so!
Never heard of those before. Let know know if anyone has any please
