OK, time for some culinary math. :) For 30 servings (each having 3 Tbsp), you will need 90 Tbls of rum. There are 16 Tbsp per cup so-- 90 divided by 16 equals 5 5/8 cups or 5 cups and 10 Tbls of rum.

I recommend that you make one individual recipe and put it in the serving cup so that you know how full each glass will be when you portion out the big batch.

Hope that helps. :)

There is a math trick called "Unit Conversion", which works well for these types of problems. Use it to convert any type of measurement. It works well to convert metric to English, or English to English or any combination. However, it only works for one type of measurment (example: you can't convert inches to cups, or cups to weight. Some people confuse volume onunces with weight ounces; it won't work).

Step #1 Establish your conversion factors.

Example: 2 tablespoons = 1 oz
8 oz = 1 cup
4 cups = 1 quart

Step # 2 Set your conversion factors up like fractions and multiply.
3(30) tblsp rum/1 x 1 oz/2 tablsp x 1 cup/ 8 oz

Step # 3 The tblsp and oz cancel the same way algebra symbols will and your left with cups. Just multiply the numbers

Step # 4

(3)(30)(1)(1)/(1)(2)(8) = 90/16 cups and whatever this reduces to ( I don't have a caluculator)

hopes this helps
