How do I half an egg?!

Question: I want to make cupcakes, but just half the recipe. It calls for 3 eggs. So is there a special way to half them, or do I just put it in a bowl and use half the mixture?

You can crack that egg in a bowl, mix it up a bit and try to pour half of it into mix. If you get a little more or less than it will be ok.

go ahead and use 2 whole eggs. you won't notice the extra egg.

The other way to do it would be to purchase small eggs and use 2.

You've got it. Break them into a bowl, mix well with a fork or whisk, then halve.

Use one egg and then break another in a measuring cup and beat it, then use half....but as suggested either use one or two it should be no problem.

Beat one of the eggs & halve it with a measuring cup is one way, but if it was me, I would just use one and add a little more liquid

I whip/beat all 3 in my mini food processor, measure the entire amount, and divide by 2.
'NOTE'
Let them stand for about 5-10 minutes so the eggs settle, that way you will get an accurate measurement

use 2 eggs but, if you're that particular about your recipe, you can lightly beat one egg, measure its volume and divide in half. I'd just go with 2 eggs though.

Yep, just use two eggs, I've done it before for half a cake recipe and it turns out fine.
