Hopefully you are covering your food with a paper towel.

Depending on the type of food you are reheating there are a few options.

a) if it has milk in the base of the food, put a little (and I mean a quick pour) of milk into the food, stirring it in then heating.

b) if it has a water base, add a little water to the food stirring it in before heating.

c) when you cover with the paper towel, make the paper towel slightly wet (few drops of water on it) before heating.

Microwaving the food will always dry out any moisture in the food. That is why you need to add a little extra to it prior to microwaving it. For example, You don't want to add water to say Mac-n-cheese but milk would keep it naturally tasting.

keep it wrapped up or in its container to try to keep as much of the moisture in.

maybe if you cover it (with some kind of plastic maybe) water vapor won't escape

oh and you might have to punch some holes in the plastic cover or give the water vapor somewhere to exit to keep it fomr blowing up( although unlikely)

I cover my foods with just enough wax paper then I use plastic wrap on top of that. This keeps the food very moist.
