Can i substitute lamb for beef in a stroganoff recipe?!
Answers: my family has mixed tastes and the only common meat every member eats which i can think of is lamb. so back to my question.
Oh yes, totally. Suggest you add some harissa or cajun seasoning! oh, and drop the temperature by 20% and cook it 20% longer - lamb is slightly fattier than beef and this will melt the fat more gently to make it very very tender. Use shoulder - its the cheapest and has the most flavour. You could try them on goat as well - that's lamby/beefy and not very expensive.
Sure... if your family likes it... I don't see why not.
Sure you could, but it will taste completely different. If everyone likes lamb, then it shouldn't be a problem.
Good choice, by the way. I love lamb.
I tried it once, and I can tell you it is not the same, but it works perfectly well (for those who like lamb, of course).
Sure. It sounds good.
