What else do i need for thanksgiving?!


Question: i have gotten my list together of chicken dressing,the turkey,greenbean casserole,sweet potatoe casserole,mac+cheese,cream potatoes,giblet gravy,rolls and desserts what is another dish we might need?

Cranberry Sauce.

Paula Dean did some. She took the jelled cranberry sauce and uncanned it and sliced it in patties. She then took whipped cream cheese and finely chopped pecans and blended them together. She spread that on a slice of the cranberry sauce ans sandwiched it with another slice.

They looked so pretty on the plate and festive.

Deviled Eggs are always a must in our house.

Potato salad

pumpkin pie or apple gotta have desert

A garden salad, or coleslaw

Fruit salad for those watching the calories.

Candy apples for the kids

cranberry sauce and gravy for the tukey. i also like to have yorshire pudding on thanksgiving.

I always serve sliced mushrooms sauteed in butter, finished with half and half and a bit of sherry. A requested and must at our Thanksgiving dinner!!

DON'T FORGET THE HOT SPICED CIDER WITH A CINNAMON STICK . ONE OF MY FAVORITE PUNCHES . 1/2 GALLON LIME SHERBET , I LARGE CAN OF DOLES PINEAPPLE JUICE SLUSHY COLD , 1 -2 LITTER 7 - UP , MIX JUST BEFORE YOU SERVE OR KEEP IN THE FREEZER IN-BETWEEN SERVINGS

It looks like you have everything except cranberry sauce of some sort (whether jellied or a sauce), but I'd add some type of green salad. We always had corn because I don't eat green bean and it was a second vegetable.

The most important thing is to enjoy your family & friends. That is the "main dish"!
