Simple homemade bbq sauce? Got a good recipe to share?!
Thanx for sharing and have a great day:)
Answers: I got baby back ribs cooking for a few hours on low heat in the oven right now and wanted to finish them off with a glaze but don't like the bbq sauce we have so I thought maybe I could make my own?

I like this one, I took out of the canadian Living magazine:
BBQ Sauce
2 Tab brown sugar
1 tsp salt
? tsp dry mustard
1 cup ketchup
? c water
2 TAB vinegar
1 clove garlic, minced
Generous dab of honey (1 TAB)
Combine in saucepan. Bring to a boil and simmer 10 minutes.
Makes 2 cups, enough for 4 lbs of ribs
Also excellent on pork chops.
pint ketchup
1 1/2 pints water
1/3 cup flour
1 tablespoon salt
4 teaspoons sugar
2 1/2 teaspoons paprika
1 1/2 teaspoons pepper
1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
1 1/2 teaspoons liquid Barbecue
1 cup Worcestershire sauce
Combine ketchup and water in a large pot and bring to boil. Mix dry ingredients. Add mustard, liquid smoke, and half the Worcestershire sauce. Stir into paste; then add the remainder of Worcestershire sauce. Pour this into heated mixture and boil slowly for 20 minutes.
Refrigerate any unused portion. Keeps for several weeks. Makes about 1 quart.
an onion
about 3 cloves of garlic

about 50grams of brown sugar
about a cup of ketchup
fresh a sprig of rosemary

some dried chilles
first, sweat the onions, then add the garlic... then the worcestershire... let is simmer for about 30 secs, then add the
ketchup. let it simmer for 5 mins, add your rosemary, simmer for another 5 mins... add the last three ingredients...
this is my own recipe... hope that you would like it... =)

My favorite: for the base use the drippings from your oven cooked ribs. Then add: 2 juices (your choice) 1/2 c. apple cider, orange juice, etc. 1/2 c. brown sugar, 1/2 c. ketchup. From there add what you like .... garlic, honey, molasses, vinegar, liquid smoke, green onions, ginger ...... the choices are endless, depending on your creativity
